The 2026 Missouri Baptist Pastors’ Conference is October 26th at the St. Charles Convention Center beginning at 8:00 AM. Join other Missouri Baptists for a meaningful time of encouragement and biblical teaching. Hear from a compelling lineup of speakers as they unpack the theme Abide: Reclaiming Intimacy with God and His Word (John 15:4–5).

Speaker Bios

Tommy Schmitt

Tommy Schmitt serves as senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Gray Summit. He’s also pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a focus on church revitalization through text-driven preaching.

Schmitt is passionate about expository preaching and seeing churches experience new life. He has been married 17 years to Sarah Schmitt, executive director of the Missouri Woman’s Missionary Union. The Schmitts have four children: Ben, Judah, Chloe, and Simon.

Brad Delaughter

Brad Delaughter serves as lead pastor of First Baptist Church of DeSoto, Mo. He also serves as a hospital chaplain and an adjunct professor for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). 

His previous ministry experience includes pastoring a church through the revitalization process, and planting a new church. He also served as chaplain supervisor at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. He holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Theology, as well as a PhD and DMin, all from NOBTS. 

Delaughter split his time growing up between southern Louisiana and Mississippi. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kristin, for more than 20 years, and they have four children: Jackson, Michaela, Jase, and Jacob.

Martin Winslow

Martin Winslow is the team leader of the Missions Mobilization Group for the Missouri Baptist Convention. He is co-founder and president of The Nations Initiative, a non-profit organization that strengthens the global church through training leaders globally to plant healthy churches.

Winslow also is the founder and president of Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA), which establishes Christian schools in hard-to-reach places around the world as a means of sharing the gospel and planting churches. BCA has partnerships in Senegal, Liberia, Zambia, Burundi, and Malawi. These schools minister to 3,000 full-time students. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies from Southwest Baptist University and a master’s degree in biblical languages from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Winslow has been married to his high school sweetheart, Amy, for 28 years. They have five children: Noah, Anna, Emma, Laura, and Nati.

Rob Gion, Jr.

Rob Gion is an ordained Southern Baptist pastor, national speaker/teacher, and published author. He’s led breakout sessions at Iron Sharpens Iron events from Illinois to Florida. 

He leads “What Is Intimacy?”, a parachurch ministry, and out of this ministry has authored Redefining Intimacy: Developing Intimate Relationships with God and Others. His passion is helping point people to Christ and help them develop deeper, more intimate relationships with God and others.

Gion and his wife, Tammy, have two adult children.
