Apologetics Network Meeting
Keaton Halley of Creation Ministries International (CMI) is the featured speaker at a special event Oct. 27 hosted by the Missouri Baptist Apologetics Network.
The event begins at 7 p.m. in Junior Ballroom C&D on the lower level of the St. Charles Convention Center. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
Halley is to address the “Solid Sky Myth.” Here’s a brief description:
“The Bible is often accused of teaching a false picture of the universe, with a flat earth, stars embedded in a solid sky, and a literal oceanic reservoir of water in the heavens. Skeptics (and many theistic evolutionists) allege that the Bible writers merely adopted the mistaken science of their time.
“But what does a close look at the relevant Scripture passages reveal? It turns out that the skeptics have misread the Bible. The ancients may not have had all the knowledge we have today about the structure of the universe, but there is no good reason to accuse God’s Word of teaching error.”
CMI specializes in providing answers for hard questions concerning such topics as biblical origins, Cain’s wife, dinosaurs, fossils, and death and suffering.
