University of Missouri - Kansas City
To see the Gospel of Jesus create disciple-making communities at UMKC for the fame of God and the flourishing of all.
As a college student, I loved being involved in the Baptist Student Union at Northwest Missouri State. In the last semester of my senior year I became increasingly unsure as to what I was going to do after graduation. My Campus Missionary, Jason Yarnell, asked me if I had ever considered becoming a Campus Missionary. That conversation led me on a path of asking God to open doors for me continue ministering to college students, and He responded by connecting me with a core team that launched Impact Ministries at UMKC.
I love walking alongside college students while they make significant life decisions, and helping them follow Jesus's lead.
I've had the joy of being married to my amazing wife, Britney, since August of 2009, and being the father of three pretty cool kids: Ambrielle, Elias, and Adeline. When not working on campus or hanging out with family, my time is spent keeping up with my favorite teams (GO CHIEFS & ROYALS!), or enjoying all things coffee.
I'm praying for God to raise up more men and women to be gospel ministers on this campus. The harvest is plentiful!
Inclusio Community is a group of students who gather weekly to worship Jesus together and discuss what it looks like to represent Him on the college campus. Discipleship Groups are smaller groups of guys or girls who also meet weekly for the purpose of growing as followers of Jesus. GRATIS is our anti-trafficking group at UMKC that seeks to raise awareness about sex trafficking and empower students to work to bring an end to modern-day slavery.
