Within popular culture, prayer is nothing more than a form of therapy or a way to show support in times of trial. The truth is, however, that primary purposes of prayer are to bring glory to God and intercede on behalf of others. Use these ten strategies to ensure that prayers are spirit-led so that they will bear much fruit.

(1)   Obey the Ten Commandments – Exodus 20:1-17.

(2)   Practice the Beatitudes – Matthew 5:3-12.

(3)   Remain/Abide in the True Vine – John 15:1-9.

(4)   Embrace the Most Excellent Way – Love – 1 Corinthians 12:31b-13:13.

(5)   Live by the Spirit of God – Galatians 5:16-18.

(6)   Avoid the Acts of Sinful Nature – Galatians 5:19-21.

(7)   Employ the Fruit of the Spirit of God – Galatians 5:22-23.

(8)   Become a Prisoner of the Lord – Ephesians 4:1

(9)   Be an imitator of Christ – Ephesians 5:1.

(10) Live as Children of the Light of God – Ephesians 5:8

(11) Be filled with the Spirit of God – Ephesians 5:18

(12) Practice Biblical Submission – Ephesians 5:21
