Are you tired from trying to juggle all of life’s priorities? Would you like a better balance between ministry and family? The Minister’s Juggling Act might be just for you!
The Family Ministries team wants to make an investment in your ministry and family. We are funding this event except for your registration cost per couple, which includes lodging, conference materials, and most meals.
This is a time for you to relax and be casual. It’s a getaway, an opportunity for you to refocus on your main priorities. Because this is a couples event, we encourage you to make arrangements for your children in order to maximize your time together.

Each retreat session is limited to 80 couples–first come, first served. First time attendees have first priority

Your Hosts for the Retreat
Joe Ulveling, Event Host
Joe is the Group Leader for the Business Services and Properties Management Group as well as the Family Ministry Specialist for the Missouri Baptist Convention. Joe’s heart and passion is to help strengthen ministers, their families, and ultimately, churches. You’ll be encouraged by Joe’s teaching on family and leadership.
Tom & Rhonda Hufty, Guest Speakers
To say Tom and Rhonda are passionate about their family would be an understatement. Likewise, they have a deep passion to help marriages and families work and grow.Tom has been in ministry for over 40 years and is currently the senior pastor at First Baptist Church, Maryville, IL. Before serving at FBCM, Tom served in the position of Vice President for Collegiate Affairs and Assistant to the President at Hannibal‐LaGrange University, Hannibal, MO, for 13 years. His early church ministry years were spent serving churches in the areas of music, student and family ministries. Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Hannibal‐LaGrange and his graduate degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Tom is the author of two daily devotional books, “Time Alone With God,” and “180°.”After leaving a career as the public relations director for a Christian university, Rhonda is enjoying a new chapter in her life—that of a pastor’s wife. She enjoys speaking at women’s retreats and conferences, writing, and mentoring. Rhonda developed a program and curriculum entitled “Wired to Connect” to help people discover their wiring and the gifts and platforms God has designed for each individual life.Tom and Rhonda lead marriage, family and parenting conferences across the nation and internationally. They use humor and personal experiences to communicate their desire to “make Jesus look good” in everyday living. For the past 20 years, Tom and Rhonda have served as the U.S. coordinators for the International Baptist Convention (IBC) student camp, Euroventure. This camp serves churches all over Europe and the Middle East.
